CARNEY: NEW ROUND OF LABOR ENDORSEMENTS FOR GOVERNOR

Lt. Gov. John Carney's campaign for governor announced it has received four more labor endorsements, bringing his total backing from unions to 11 organizations.

The latest round of support comes from:

--International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 313

--Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 74

--Ironworkers Local 451

--International Union of Painters & Allied Trades District Council 21

"I am honored to receive the endorsements from these four labor unions. These organizations represent more than 3,000 working families who make a vital contribution to our state every day,” Carney said.

“I will continue to work closely with them to ensure that we keep good paying jobs in Delaware. A strong economy will be Job One in a Carney administration."

Carney’s labor support represents more than 22,000 union households. The campaign previously announced endorsements from: Laborers Local 199, Teamsters Local 326, Bricklayers Local 1, Sheet Metal Workers Local 19, United Food & Commercial Workers Local 27, Insulators & Asbestos Workers Local 42, and the United Auto Workers Delaware State CAP Council.
