DENN: CANDIDATE ANNOUNCES "WOMEN FOR DENN"

Matthew Denn, Democratic candidate for Delaware Insurance Commissioner, announced today the formation of “Women for Denn,” a statewide organization of women supporting his candidacy.

Denn said that the creation of Women for Denn, which includes women from every single one of the 41 Representative Districts in the state, demonstrates that his campaign is addressing issues important to women throughout the state.  “Delaware women understand that Delawareans need an Insurance Commissioner who will stand up for them when they are dealing with the insurance industry,” Denn said.  “That is why women from literally every district in this state have stepped forward to support my campaign.”

The New Castle County chairs of Women for Denn are Senator Margaret Rose Henry and Toni Young.  The other members are Lisa Blunt Bradley (1st RD), Representative Hazel Plant (2nd RD), Brenda Phillips (3rd RD), Marybeth Farrell (4th RD), Representative Melanie George (5th RD), Kathy Jamison (6th RD), Barbara Keil (7th RD), Representative Bethany Hall-Long (8th RD), Diane Messick (9th RD), Joan Wachstein (10th RD), Catherine Hodder (11th RD), Betsy Maron (12th RD), Senator Patricia Blevins (13th RD), Carol Miller (15th RD), Sandra Ballard (16th RD), Ellen C. Peden (17th RD), Beverly Parnell (18th RD), Suzanne Hussey (19th RD), Sandy Johnson (20th RD), Patty Howard (21st RD), Lynne Phifer (22nd RD), Leslie Goldstein (23rd RD), Shaku Bhaya (24th RD), Helen Foster Parson (25th RD), Andrea Viola (26th RD), and Mary Catherine Landis (27th RD).

The Kent County chairs of Women for Denn are Dawn Hill and Karen Valentine.  The other members are Grace Ennis (28th RD), Senator Nancy Cook (29th RD), Abby Betts (30th RD), Holly Malone (31st RD), Sarah Patterson (32nd RD), Darlene Cox (33rd RD), and Mary Sherlock (34th RD).

The Sussex County chairs of Women for Denn are Pat Ewing and Pat Farley.  The other members are Fay Jacobs (14th RD), Petie Adams (35th RD), Kathi Karsnitz (36th RD), Grace Lowe (37th RD), Donna Bunting (38th RD), Trina Wheedleton (39th RD), Jean Henry and Juanita Stone (40th RD), and Thelma Monroe (41st RD).
